ASMS has decided to cancel all classes tomorrow, April 3, due to severe weather. Campus safety is always the most important concern, so we feel like this is a prudent decision. Campus security, hall staff, and a few administrators will be on duty and on campus tomorrow.
If there is severe weather, we sound a “severe weather alert” on campus, which is loud and clear. Students, faculty, and staff understand the procedures for severe weather alerts. Emergency procedures have been covered in the hall meetings But, to put it in simple terms, anyone on campus reports to the inner parts of the building where they are when the alarm sounds, away from doors and windows. As you know, the ASMS buildings are large, brick and concrete structures. Our chief concern is always campus safety.
