In the spring of 2003, Dr. Gerard and Mrs. Striplin took 43 students on a Civil Rights Pilgrimage to the historical sites in Selma, Montgomery, and Birmingham. We heard speakers, toured civil rights museums, and met people that were involved in this historical struggle for equality.

In the spring of 2004, Dr. Gerard and Mrs. Striplin will take students along the Gulf Coast to historical sites of interest concerning women in the South-both yesterday and today.
