NEWS AND EVENTS Alumnus Virgil Griffith, Class of 2002, creator of a Wikipedia Scanner which reveals who has created edits to articles, was written about in the New York Times, Time Magazine, and was also in the Colbert Report. Virgil is currently in graduate school.at Caltech. December 30-31, 2006 - Alumni Retreat The 2006 Retreat Location will be on the beach in Ft. Morgan, AL. In order to reserve this location, the Association had to reserve it for two nights. Alumni will be able to stay an additional night on the beach for New Year's Eve at a discounted rate. Prices should be released following the July Alumni Council meeting. July 29, 2006 - Alumni Luncheon The Alabama School of Mathematics and Science requests your presence at the Alumni Luncheon in the ASMS Cafeteria on Saturday, July 29, 2006, from 12:00-2:00 PM. May 28, 2006 - Alumni Induction Ceremony This event will take place during the ASMS Graduation/Awards Day. Eugene (Secretary) is Chair of AIC Planning committee. Soon-to-be Graduates of ASMS will be inducted into the Alumni Association, and recieve an Alumni Association Membership Card. |
