The study of genetics on the level of the individual and the population

Genetics is a college-level study of genetics including a review of cellular anatomy and physiology, Mendelian and molecular genetics, biotechnology, human genetic disease, and an introduction to the major concepts and models of population genetics. The content of this course is similar in scope to portions of AP Biology 2/3 and 3/3. The intention is to provide coverage of this portion of the biology core curriculum as a prerequisite or corequisite for other biology courses, or as a stand-alone elective. Prerequisites: Honors Biology, Cellular Biology, or equivalent.
