Birdwatching along the Western Gulf Coast and the Rio Grande Valley of Texas

This special project studies the migrating birds and other wildlife of the Texas and Louisana Gulf Coast. Along the way we will sample the area's diverse human cultures.

The Gulf Coast is one of the most important conservation areas in the United States, and affords incomparable opportunities to see a large variety of birds, mammals, and habitats.

Students will have opportunities to sample Cajun, Hispanic, and Anglo Texan lifestyles and will be given a solid grounding in the basics for a potential lifetime interest in birds
