Purpose of Course: This course is targeted towards Web developers who need tools to construct creative, powerful and interactive Web sites. The topics to be covered fi time allows are: The Flash interface, Using Color Tools, Using Drawing Tools, Animation Basics, Shape Tweening, Symbols and Instances, Motion Tweening, Bitmaps, Buttons, Movie Clips, Action Scripting, Text, Sound, and Publishing.

Weights:

Classwork, participation (attendance, contributions to discussions) = 10%
Daily Work = 30%
Individual Student Projects 40%
Quizzes and Exams 20%

Attendance: Students are expected to be in class, on time, unless you have an excused absence for being sick or for attending an event. I am responsible for you during our class meeting time and you will want to be prompt and dependable. Three unexcused absences may result in a D for the class. If you are sick, please go to the nurse! Six absences as a combination of excused or unexcused may result in a D for the course. Any unexcused absence will result in a lowering of your Class Participation grade.
