Student ambassadors as well as members of the Residential Life Support Team (RLST’s), faculty, and other staff members were all engaged in a variety of tasks Saturday, May 4th, for Registration Day at the Alabama School of Math and Science. The day officially began at eight o’clock and ended around three o’clock in the afternoon. During the course of the day students took placement tests, made their schedules, attended the student panel, and participated in icebreakers to help with their search for a roommate. Some major concerns for most students were the work load, dorm life, and for students like Nellei Baghaei, what programs would needed to be downloaded onto their computers for the fall. Incoming sophomore, Hannah Adler, said that she was excited to come to ASMS because of the large amount of tolerance and acceptance shown here that does not exist at her current school.
