The SGA is governed by the Executive Committee (EC). Four senior members serve as the executive officers of the SGA. These officers are President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The chairs of the Activities and Campus Life committees fill the other three senior positions.
The objectives and functions of the Executive Committee shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following:

The objectives and functions of the Executive Committee shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following:
- Maintaining dialogue among the SGA committees and with the Student Body as acting as a liaison to faculty, staff, and administration.
- Supervising all of the Functions of the SGA committees.
- Assuring that the SGA abides by all clauses that comprise that Community Standards Handbook and the Student Government By-Laws. Planning, organizing, and implementing ASMS functions.
- Approving or disapproving all SGA resolutions.
- Organizing all SGA elections.
- Managing all school sponsored organizations.
- Appropriating Student Activity Funds in compliance with policies of ASMS and state and federal regulations.
- Forming temporary committees to fulfill particular duties as deemed necessary.
- Determining and communicating to clubs the scheduling of events and the processing of funds.
Activities Committee:
A. The objectives and functions of the school-wide Activities Committee shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Providing a positive social environment for the Student Body.
2. Sponsoring school-wide social activities, including Prom, Winter Formal, and coordinating a calendar for campus activities.

B. The objectives and functions of the grade-level class committees - Sophomore Opportunity ("Soph-Op"), Junior Initiative, and Senior Priority ("Seniority") - which serve as subcommittees to the school-wide Activities Committee shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Providing a positive social environment for their respective grade-level.
2. Sponsoring class-specific social activities and coordinating these activities with the school-wide Activities Committee.

Campus Life Committee:
The objectives of the Campus Life Committee shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following:
1. Communication the opinions and desires of the Student Body to the Executive Committee and the administrations.
2. Providing for a positive community environment.
3. Monitoring the food service.
4. Governing and organizing residence hall inter-visitations in keeping with the current Community Standards Handbook guidelines.
5. Preparing and implementing at least one Campus Improvement each year.
6. Organizing sit-down dinners with Director of Student Affairs.
