Classes

ASMS offers a variety of courses, most at college or high school AP level. ASMS works on the quarter schedule so that students can take as many classes as possible during the school year. They meet 55 minutes a day, 4 days a week, for three 11-week terms. Classes start at 8 in the morning and end at 3:30; band, choir, and studio art are held later in the afternoon, and science labs are sometimes held at night. Students are required to take at least five academic classes per term, and often seniors take directed readings in specific subject areas.
