The reprtitious waves smacking land one right
after the oterh, and the other,
Almost hypnotic, I watch from the balcony
The colors of the sunset into the clouds
like a paper towel on a spill
Nothing is sudden, I cannot make myself move
from this spot
The sounds have been drowned much as my
mind
Fixated on the ever-unreachable horizon
I slip from concious, mesmorized by teh
placid ocean scene
And wishing he city lights would fade forever.
