During the week of April 20-24, 1998, Dr. Donald Wheeler conducted a Special Project at the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science in Mobile, AL. Twenty-four intrepid students signed up to learn about biomorphic robots, or machines that copy the behavior of simple organisms, e.g. paramecia, bugs.
