Register now for the Adventures in Math and Science summer camp to be held three weeks in June. Students entering the 6-10th grades can apply.
Learn while you have fun! Kayak in Mobile Bay. Design a maze. Build a smart phone app. Solve a crime. Prepare for the ACT. Learn how to make jewelry. Build a robot. Launch a rocket…and much more.
AIMS will run for three sessions this year. Week 1 (June 5-9), Week 2 (June 12-16), and Week 3 (June 19-23) are all overnight or day camps. The application is a completely online process (payment, registration, class selection, form submission, etc.). Parents can submit a full payment by mailing a check or paying with a credit card online. Enrollment is not accepted until payment is submitted in full. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2017.
Last summer, ASMS hosted more than 930 sixth through tenth graders from across the region.
“Without the hard work of our faculty and staff, AIMS could not happen,” ASMS Vice President John Hoyle says. “The camp has grown tremendously in the past five years.”
Camp reached its maximum capacity in summer 2016 and officials encourage campers to apply early this year.

ASMS is a safe campus: AIMS students are not permitted to leave campus during camp, unless a parent picks them up. The campus is completely enclosed by an eight-foot iron fence. ASMS employs full-time security guards who patrol the campus. We also use cameras to record multiple parts of the campus at all times of the day. Further, our Residence Hall staff is made up of trained professionals, all of whom have college degrees and who actually live in the dorms during the AIMS camp. AIMS campers are under constant and consistent supervision during the entire day. The camp is structured to keep students constructively occupied at all times. During overnight camp, when students finish school they take part in supervised activities. We also encourage students to have cell phones at camp so they can keep in constant contact with their parents. Parents from every county have entrusted ASMS with their students and the school takes that responsibility seriously. Finally, female campers are not allowed in the boys’ dorm and male campers are not allowed in the girls’ dorm.
