Welcome, New Dragons!  

Congratulations! Now that you have been accepted to ASMS and are ready to complete your next steps, please review this important information:

1. Accept your Offer of Admission  

To officially accept your offer of admission, you will log into Blackbaud, view your applicant checklist, and accept your offer of admission.  

2. Review your Enrollment Contract & Pay your Enrollment Deposit  

After you accept your offer of admission, you will be assigned an enrollment contract. Parents/Guardians will log into your Blackbaud account. There will be notification stating that “You have: 1 Contract to Review” From there, you will complete your students, “2026-2027 Intent to Enroll”. The $150 Enrollment Fee will be made during this process. Please complete this step no later than Friday, March 6, 2026.  

3. Attend Virtual Welcome Program  

The virtual welcome program will be held on March 12, 2026, and more information will be shared soon. New families will hear from our President, Dr. John Hoyle, and various faculty and staff members. We are also excited to have our current student leaders share their transition to ASMS.  There will be a Q&A portion for this event, so bring your relative questions!  

4. Register for Mandatory Orientation by May 1st 

The 2025-2026 orientation days for new students will be Saturday, June 6 and Saturday, June 13 Incoming families will sign up here for the orientation date that best fits their schedule.  

During orientation, you will take your mandatory biology and math placement tests, learn more about financial aid, the nurse's office, residential and campus life, and more! Orientation Day is an all-day event, so plan accordingly.

5. Log into Blackbaud and Complete Required Medical Forms by July 1st 

When you log into Blackbaud, you will see a banner at the top alerting you to the forms that need to be completed. Forms include submitting your Birth Certificate, Insurance information, TB Skin Test, Immunizations, Physical, and AHSAA compliance forms.  

6. Submit Financial Aid Application by (Date TBA)  

 There are various fees assessed throughout the year, including but not limited to athletic fees, club/organization fees, and PSAT Fee, that will appear in Blackbaud.  The largest and most important fee is the Student Activity fee. If you need assistance paying the Student Activity Fee, you may apply for financial aid through FACTS.  The 2026-2027 FACTS application is available at: (insert link here). 7. Complete Roommate Questionnaire form by June 15th  

We’re so excited to have you join the dragon family and want to ensure you’re comfortable in your new home. Please be sure to complete this form to let us know your likes and dislikes, or if you already have a roommate in mind.

8. Juniors Only: Complete Driving Application in Blackbaud by July 31st  

To be eligible, students and parents are required to submit copies of the student's driver's license, vehicle insurance, vehicle registration, and a signed contract and acknowledgement by both student and parent. A $150 registration fee will be added to your Blackbaud account after selection. Payment will be required within 48 hours, or your spot will be forfeited.

10. Family Programs Information for New Parents  

The Office of Family Programs plays a key role in helping our incoming families transition to becoming members of the ASMS family! The Assistant Director of Donor Relations & Family Programs, Teressa Clark (tclark@asms.net) along with assistance from our Parent Council, will provide an array of support programs and material throughout the summer to ensure parents and incoming students are well-prepared for the start of the upcoming school year.
