Mr. Abel grew up in a small community in central Ohio and his experience in more personal educational environments have led him to value the type of experience that ASMS provides students. Mr. Abel has spent all of his 24-year career in higher education at institutions in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Alabama. Mr. Abel is passionate about creating spaces outside the classroom that provide opportunities for learning and engagement that help students develop soft skills to pair with their intellectual ability. Mr. Abel is married and has three daughters.
