ASMS junior, Grace Morin, spent her summer studying with the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in their Genes and Greens Program. Grace is interested in pursuing a career in health sciences and service! She was recently featured by the institute for her participation in the program.

ASMS Chess Pep Rally Featured on Local News Segment: "What's Working"
The ASMS Varsity Chess Team is undefeated this school year. In preparation for their next major tournament, the school hosted its annual Chess Pep Rally. Local WKRG news reporter, Devon Walsh, featured the pep rally in her special weekly segment: What's Working!
ASMS Alumna Megan Saalwaechter (Class of 2019) Featured on Alabama Upstarts for Research Innovations Related to Bed Sores
ASMS alumna, Megan Saalwaechter (Class of 2019), worked alongside seasoned mentors at UAB to create an LLC to further research and development on a solution for bed sores. She was recently featured on Alabama Upstarts, a show where young companies pitch their business to a series of judges and investors.

Four ASMS students and their faculty member recently presented their research at the 2021 Northeast Pop Culture Association Virtual Conference, an event primarily attended by graduate students and college professors.
