Biography: Kristy Gunther is a seasoned accounting and financial professional with more than 25 years of experience. She has worked in both the business and healthcare industries, leading business plans, financial strategies, and corporate budget development. Throughout her career she has been responsible for supervising employees and working closely with senior management. She herself has served on the senior leadership team for several organizations, and she is excited to join the senior leadership team at ASMS in a new field - education.

Accomplishments: Prior to joining the ASMS team, Ms. Gunther assisted with the the transition to a new financial general ledger system and standardized policies and procedures for Infirmary Health System's network of physician clinics. In her role as VP of Financial Planning with St. Vincent's Health System, she was responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling activities of Financial Planning, Decision Support, Budgeting and Reimbursement for the 5 hospital health system. In many of her previous positions, she has led the organizations in achieving cost efficiency as well as profit and growth objectives.
