Biography: Dr. Mohammadreza Fakhraei (Dr. M) earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Auburn University in 2026, where his research focused on developing data-driven models for approximating the interactions of particles with shape anisotropy, such as synthetic nanoparticles. He previously earned his M.S. in Chemical Engineering, with research on the molecular simulation of gas adsorption in porous materials. At ASMS, he will teach Honors Physics along with two elective courses. His teaching is guided by the belief that real understanding comes from building intuition. He received Auburn's Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award in Chemical Engineering in 2023, recognizing his teaching in Applied Mathematics and Process Design.
Professional Areas of Expertise: Computational Chemistry, Molecular Simulation, Applied Machine Learning, Surrogate Modeling
