ASMS junior, Trinity Causey, is building her research foundation through a college program while still enrolled in high school. The MIT Beaver Works Institute is a virtual high school program that offers research opportunities to students through project-based learning. ASMS alumna, Megan Saalwaechter (Class of 2019), worked alongside seasoned mentors at UAB to create an LLC to further research and development on a solution for bed sores. She was recently featured on Alabama Upstarts, a show where young companies pitch their business to a series of judges and investors.
