December 2, 2025 Dear ASMS supporters and stakeholders, Today there is one person everyone in the ASMS Community can thank -- The Honorable Ann Bedsole. I am writing to let you know that Mrs. Bedsole passed away on December 1, 2025. She was 95 years old. ASMS is here and successful today because of Mrs. Bedsole's hard work and leadership. She was a political pioneer, philanthropist, and an inspiration to many in the state of Alabama. We will always remember the historic life she lived and the impact she made on generations of ASMS students and families. Her whole life was centered around giving to others. The picture in this message is of Mrs. Bedsole on Ann Bedsole Day at ASMS back in 2023. She was awarded the first-ever ASMS honorary diploma, and today we are reminded there is nobody more fitting of such an honor. She loved this school and its community. At 12:45pm CST today ASMS will hold a school-wide assembly, and we will pause for a moment of silence to remember Mrs. Bedsole. I invite you to do the same.
