Four ASMS Students Present at National Student Research Conference

ASMS students from our school's Research Fellows program presented their work at the 2025 National Consortium of Secondary STEM Schools Student Research Conference, held in June at the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering in Huntsville. Rising seniors Lucas Miller, Kayty Phan, Derek Ricafort, and Emma Kate South shared their Research Fellows projects with forty students from our sister schools around the country.

Asphalt Mass Loss Due to the Effects of Precipitation by Derek Ricafort
Over a three-day conference and poster session, the students learned from one another, made new connections with students and teachers at advanced STEM schools from the Midwest to the Southeast, and had fun touring the US Space and Rocket Center. Our students made us proud as always, and they enjoyed sharing their research with other student scholars.
