Presenting The ASMS Class Of 2024
This year’s Alabama School of Mathematics and Science senior class is nothing short of exceptional. The Class of 2024 includes students from 24 different counties across the state of Alabama. We are so proud to share some of their accomplishments with our school community!
- 6 seniors were named National Merit Finalists.
- 2 seniors were named National Merit Scholars.
- 3 seniors were named candidates for the U.S Presidential Scholars program.
- 1 senior was named 1 of 750 Gates Scholars out of 34,000 applications.
- 1 senior was named a QuestBridge Scholar out of 16,000 applicants.
- 2 seniors placed 1st in the Regional Science and Engineering Fair, and 1 senior placed 2nd at the Alabama Science and Engineering Fair.
- 1 senior was published as first author on a research paper.
- This class was awarded over $10.7 million in scholarship opportunities.
- The class earned an average of $136,500 in scholarships per graduate.
- 75% of graduates will attend college in Alabama.
- 25% of graduates will attend college in 10 different states.
