ASMS students can compete in the High School Science Olympiad State Competition. Science Olympiad competitions consist of individual and team events that require students to have advanced knowledge of biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, problem-solving, and technology. Team events involve teamwork, group planning, cooperation, and promote team spirit and good sportsmanship. A strong group of ASMS students compete each year, and many students place in their categories.
