Biography: Mr. Tim Grabill grew up in rural Indiana in the heart of Amish country. He joined the school band and within several years knew he was born to be a band director. His principle instrument is the trumpet, but he studied the clarinet and French horn for his Master’s degree. He is an accomplished professional musician and currently plays trumpet in Doc Rogers and the Rock Dodgers classic rock band. At ASMS, Mr. Grabill teaches Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Rock Band, and String Ensemble. He has also been a paramedic for a number of years and is currently employed by Newman’s Ambulance in Mobile and Baldwin EMS in Bay Minette. He is married to Mary, a language arts teacher and has 2 grown children. His son, Joseph is a professional French Horn player, currently stationed in Germany and his daughter, Trish is a medical coding specialist in Washington D.C.
