Sarah Nealy is an outstanding ASMS alumna from one of our more recent graduating classes. Prior to attending ASMS, Sarah grew up on a farm in Fairhope, Alabama. Since graduating from ASMS in 2017 with a distinction in biology, she has published a research paper, studied abroad, and been selected for the prestigious Goldwater scholarship.

Ethnobotanist, plant chemist, and lecturer, Dr. John de la Parra is one of the many innovators and scholars that ASMS is proud to call an alumnus. A graduate of ‘98, Dr. de la Parra has held positions at various institutions that some of our current students aim to attend.

The campus is being transformed at the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science. A facility that began as a school storage building has been renovated to become a Remote Learning Center and Makerspace – one of the only innovation spaces on a school campus in the state of Alabama.
