What is MMC?
Mega Musical Chairs is a fun and long-running event that brings together students, faculty, and community members for an afternoon of music, food, and friendly competition. The event is being held on the ASMS West Campus on Friday May 5th, 2023 at 4:30 pm. Mega Musical Chairs also known as "MMC" is a fundraising event in which 100 participants will play a game of musical chairs. MMC will last around an hour, and after there will be carnival-themed games and food!
For students purchasing tickets:
- Tickets are $10 and can be paid with cash or a card
- After getting your ticket there will be a sign-up sheet in Ms. Gunther’s office which you need to fill out
- MAKE SURE TO KEEP YOUR TICKET, YOU NEED TO SHOW THIS TO RECEIVE YOUR T-SHIRT. On the day of MMC, make sure to wear your T-Shirt to the event to participate.
Teachers may also sponsor students for MMC!
- TEACHERS - If you would like to sponsor students, you will go up to finance and purchase the number of tickets you would like to give out. Ms. Gunther will give you the number of tickets you purchased. You may give these out to students.
- STUDENTS - If you receive a teacher-sponsored ticket, you need to go to Ms. Gunther’s office, show her your ticket, and sign the sign-up sheet
The 1ST PRIZE WINNER will receive a plaque dedicated to them in the Wilson Science Research Center…
How to Donate?
The Alabama School of Math and Science Student Government Association would like to extend an invitation for you or your employers to sponsor our upcoming and exciting fundraising event, Mega Musical Chairs!
This event will feature Event Sponsor signage. Students and parents throughout the state will attend this event, which will offer a unique opportunity to highlight your businesses to a diverse crowd.
The proceeds from this event will be used to fund the building of our new Wilson Science Research Center- the E.O. Wilson Science Building. This world-class facility will significantly enhance opportunities for our students to conduct research and participate in cutting-edge learning experiences. With access to state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, innovative technology, and collaboration spaces, this center will allow the next generation of leaders to help solve our world’s most pressing challenges.
We are seeking sponsors for various levels of support, including gold, silver, and bronze sponsorships. Each level of sponsorship comes with its own set of benefits, such as recognition on our event website and social media, inclusion in event materials, and more. On top of everything included in our tier list, companies who donate over $1000 can also qualify to be put on the donor wall and be a part of the building forever.
